Elder Ben Winslett – The Gospel As A Remedy For Guilt
Elder Ben examines the concept of guilt and looks at how the gospel can be a remedy for it. Paul rebuked the church of Corinth for many errors, and the church was sorry and experienced guilt as a result. Guilt is defined as a bad feeling of shame or remorse over one’s perceived mistakes. Paul addresses the guilt that the church experienced. He clarified that he was not glad that his sharp rebuke brought about sorrow itself, but sorrow unto repentance. He doesn’t want us to walk in guilt for the rest of our lives, but to draw closer to Jesus Christ, because He died for those sins we committed and has abolished them forever.
