Elder James Conley – Pilgrims and Strangers
As God’s people, we have great freedom—but how should we use it? Elder James turns to Hebrews 11 to highlight those who have testified about walking by faith. He explains that our spiritual eyesight is faith—the evidence of things not seen—and that walking by faith requires keeping our eyes on the Lord rather than worldly distractions. This world is not our home; we are pilgrims and strangers traveling through it. However, the church serves as a refuge, offering God’s perspective above earthly distractions. Elder James encourages us to shift our focus away from ourselves and toward companionship with one another as we journey together in this life.
