Elder Philip Conley – Face to Face with Salvation
Elder Philip turns to Luke 7 where we read of the woman who washed Jesus’s feet with her tears. She was behind him and didn’t speak, but she wanted to be with the Lord. Not on her terms, but his. The very expression of her soul is poured out in her tears to wash his feet. She came face to face with the very place that her salvation took place, where Christ’s heal was bruised and the serpent’s head was crushed. Elder Philip proclaims that the church is a place to come face to face with what God has done for us and gives us strength in this old world.
