Elder Chris Crouse – A Weighty Death

David writes a psalm of triumph even in the grip of death. Though he experienced deliverance, he understood that death was inevitable. He declares, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Elder Chris explains that precious here means “weighty”—God takes special notice when one of His saints passes away. It is weighty for us as well, yet we should not fear death. He shares his experiences of witnessing a saint’s passing, describing how their soul took flight and was precious in God’s sight. Instead of fear, we should look forward to the day when we will be immediately in God’s presence, with death behind us forever.
