Elder Marty Hoskins – A Mountain of Contrast
Elder Marty cautions that when faced with a problem, all too often we flee to the law (or a personal Mt. Sinai) to fix it. We lay out a plan, start to do well for our own personal advantage, and we begin patting ourselves on the back as we do good. But Mt. Sinai was never intended to be a hiding place, it was to highlight our sin and how depraved we are. There is no rest there. Elder Marty goes on to describe the rest found at Mt. Zion, the new testament, and the glorious love of God. With this endless love, not only do we find rest, but then we labor, attend church, and do good to please Him because of what He has done for us.
