Elder Gail Faries – Meeting the King
Elder Gail considers the aspects found in scripture as individuals met a king. He begins looking at Abraham when a famine was sore and he travelled down into Egypt. He had the opportunity to meet Pharaoh. But he was afraid Pharaoh would kill him to take Sarah as his wife. He acted in fear by telling him Sarah was his sister. While David had great faith, when confronted with king Saul, he fled out of fear. Elder Gail asks us what we think when we go before THE King in our daily walk, in our prayer life, and in the church. When we don’t have the presence of the King, we are miserable. Let us rejoice we have the privilege to be with the King and we can look forward to being with Him forever.
