Elder Chris Crouse – Humility
The Apostle Peter exhorts the elders as an elder, not as a chief apostle. He gives good instruction to the gospel elder who is to feed the flock. Peter promotes humility for all the saints, living a life of service. Elder Chris considers the account of David’s belief that Mephibosheth desired the throne, based on a lie. But when David returned, Mephibosheth demonstrated the truth that he had mourned the king was not on his throne, and he was content that his king was now in his house in peace. Elder Chris proclaims that we have that today. Our King is in his house in peace and we should be satisfied to exalt him from a lowly place.
