Elder Chris Crouse – The New Testament Church
This sermon is a beautiful description of the transition to the New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the day of Pentecost, many met in one place, in one accord, and the Spirit of God descended on them from on high. And we find where thousands were added to the church due to the mighty power of the Spirit. When hearing the powerful sermons that day, they were pricked in the heart, and asked what they can do. The Apostle Paul instructs that it is good that they have been changed, to turn and repent of the sins in their lives, and to join the church. Three-thousand were baptized on that day. Elder Chris speaks on the doctrine, it’s importance in the church, and our lives. He stresses the importance of fellowship in the Lord’s house, encouraging others, and in the breaking of bread. And to be a people that steadfastly continue in ardent prayer. Elder Chris ends with Acts 2:46-47, “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
