Elder Chris Crouse – Adultery
Continuing on Elder Chris’s series on the sermon on the mount, he addresses the sin of adultery. The Jewish leaders carved out exceptions in the law of Moses for divorce reasons. They had expanded the uncleanness to many convenient things, but Christ clarifies the uncleanness as fornication. Jesus gets to the root of the matter however, pointing out that looking on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Elder Chris provides the example of David, one of God’s own heart, which started with a look and cautions how easily anyone could fall into this sin.
